Will a credit card payment that was three days late adversely effect my credit score?
Details-I don’t remember the exact date but I had a credit card payment that wasn’t credited as paid until 3 days after it was due. From my understanding this probably didn’t hurt my credit rating too much, that it’s not really a big problem until it’s 30 days late, sent to collections, etc? Anyways, my main question is that which appears in the headline-will a payment that was three days late have severe effects on my credit score? Thanks.

Probably not, wait a few months and check your credit report.
Typically no. Credit card companies usually only report it if you are late 30, 60, 90, 120, etc… days late.
However even though it doesn’t ding your credit score, credit cards company have the right to tack on a late fee, increase your APR, or do all sorts of other things for defaulting. Check accordingly.
No, not unless it becomes a habit and they can see a pattern in late payments. Your late charge fee wiped out your payment. I had a 10.00 min payment due one time and was late. I got charged 25.00 late fee.
The credit card companies don’t report a payment that was only 3 days late. You probably had to pay a late fee, if this is the first time you were late I would call the bank and ask them to waive the fee, they usually do the first time, for more information on understanding your credit file read,
