  1. There are many credit card companies that offer below 13% ongoing interest rate. The best low interest credit card is probably the Citi Diamond Preferred MasterCard. It offers 0% interest on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months and a ongoing interest rate as low as 10.24%, which is very low. 3. Credit card business is very competitive. Most credit cards offer similar rate depends on your credit score and how often you use the card. Banks do talk to each other, if one bank offer you a 9.99%, other bank would offer the same or slightly higher depends on how much risk they want to take.

  4. First off I am no expert but I am a bill collecter for private lable cards and have picked up some usefull info. Ususally interest can be determined based on your credit score. The best way to shop around for a good low interest credit card is to know your credit score. Usually if you pay off your account right away when you make a purchase you can avoid finance charges and such. It’s generally if you have a large balance that you make small payments on is when that gets expensive. If your looking to getting a card to build your credit, I would go with a private label credit card that you can get at a store. Some of these usually don’t have much interest and won’t charge finance charges unless you don’t make your payments on time. But first rule of getting anything in credit is know your credit score. You can get that from a fiew places online if you wish such as freecreditreport.com. They will give you your reports from all three credit reporting agencies. Other than that just shop around! Get a copy of the credit agreement and read through. Hope that helps!
