Where can I get a secured credit card?

secured credit card

I’m 25 and never had a credit card. I get denied for the regular card, and my bank doesn’t do secured credit cards… I’m a full time student and got turned down for the student card as well. I’ve seen applications online for secured cards that always ask for employer and salary. But I’m a student and would like to use some of my loans to start up some good credit. I’d only use it to pay for utilities and normal things, then pay it off each month.

  1. ..

    Find & Choose

    .

  2. Capital One. They’ll give you a secured card with $1 for $1 limits up to a limit of $750. If you keep your account in good standing, usually a couple years they may increase your limit and/or return your secured funds.

Be sure to always, always, always pay your balance off. Use your card sparingly. Use it only to give yourself history. For example be SURE that you have the cash, then charge your card for something like a shirt and then pay it before the due date. You need to actually use your card to better your credit score.

  5. In my experience there are two types of Bad Credit Credit Cards. One is a secured card, and the other has a much higher rate of interest. Both can be used to rebuild your credit worthiness after getting back on your feet. Secured credit cards are great for rebuilding your credit. You send the credit card company a pre deposit amount set by the company

  6. The trick is to build credit is showing a balance sheet .best way I found is to borrow funds to hold them on deposit, make some interest payments, then give back the deposited money.it After three months I was on a few bureaus
that what use it work for me

  7. Have you tried more than one student credit card? I had to apply for 3 cards before I finally was accepted for one. Try the link in the source. That’s the one I was approved for.

  8. Look into the Citibank for college, its a great card and they approve almost all students. The Discover Student Card is great as well. If you apply for either of these cards on applyfastbankcards you will get paid $40. They pay people to use their site to apply, so if you find a secured card you like you might as well use their site:)

Good Luck on the hunt, look around, you will get approved!
