Where can i get a prepaid credit card?
I live in canada 14 yrs old and i am wondering where can i go to get a prepaid credit card is it true you can at 7 eleven? Or where can i just like walk in and buy one, no parents needed or any extra crap.
Here in the USA, yes you can just go into the grocery store or convenience store and buy a Visa, MC or AMEX “debit” card. It works like a credit card, but in reality it is a prepaid debit card.
Since it’s prepaid, you don’t need parents.
But don’t do it. These prepaid debit cards are a rip-off. They tend to charge you a few bucks extra, like you have to pay $28 to get a $25 card. Plus they have hidden fees if not used in a certain amount of time, or they may expire. Cash never has hidden fees or expiration dates.
This is how it works in the States, but I bet it’s exactly the same in Canada.
My friend went to a local bank and asked for one, I think he needed his parents though.
