What name do i put on a green dot prepaid visa card?

I’m less than 18 and my parents have told me i can get a green dot prepaid visa from Walgreens.

I know they have to activate the card, but how would that work? Do they put their social and my name? Or my social and their name?

Would you recommend a disposable Visa credit card or a real credit card? Cons and pros please? »

   How old do you have to be to use the Card?

   Anyone at any age can buy and use this Card. However, for those underage, a parent or legal guardian must be on the phone during the account activation process in order to accept the Cardholder Agreement on behalf of their underage child. Some merchants will ask to see the ID of the cardholder. So, it may be wise for underage users to have a student ID or other type of valid ID when using the Card.
   (by the way…if you reload your card at Walgreens, it takes over an hour for your funds to be available after you activate it.)
