My impression is that if a person declares bankruptcy, credit card companies can force the person to sell their house and use the proceeds to pay off the credit cards.

Does the business still keep the payment (the transaction was already done) and/or just a flag or mark on their record by the credit card company. Does anything get flagged on our credit report? We have had some very bad luck with a photographer we worked with and considering this an option.
