If you apply for a credit card online, and it does not give you an instant result…but rather says they will notify you with a decision in 5-7 days and gives you a reference number….that is basically a denial correct?

no that means they need time to check your credit history usually you hear back in couple of days…best thing to do is go through your bank for a credit card though face to face

  5. No, depending on the card, they don’t have the online ability to just accept you. Someone will actually have to go through your information for them instead.

No, not at all. Your reply email with your information is probably in line to be reviewed and “looked at”. You will receive a reply possibly with a card or not in about a week. Good Luck.

  7. no its not a denial… they will be checking your credit

  8. It probably just means that they want to check your financial status before deciding.

  9. No, it has been passed to a team of humans to look at your request more closely as the computer was not allowed to make a decision on a close call.

    Keep your fingers crossed.

  10. I believe that it takes time for them to process all of your information. It shouldn’t be a problem.

  11. Not neccessarily.

There are instant approvals, instant denials, you may be in a gray area where a human has to take a look.

    Or could be system problems.

  12. no not necessarily if you don’t get an immediate decision it could mean they need to look at more information or they may even call you to ask you a few questions.

No- They need to look into your credit profile as well. This includes income, residency, as well as evaluating your credit report.
