not using your credit card BAD for your credit?
A friend of mine said that a company gave a presentation and said that if you have a credit card and you don’t use at least half of your limit, it is bad for your credit. I’ve had one for about a year, and have not used it once. To me, that whole thing sounds ridiculous. Anyone know if there’s any truth to this?
What credit card gives back the best benefits?
I’m looking into getting another credit card that gives the best CASH BACK compared to all the others. We have cards that give us 1% back on all purchases, but I want something with better rewards. We have an American Express and it gives good cash back 1% to 3%, but is there a Visa card that gives equivalent rewards to the American Express?
What type of credit card can I apply for and get approved with current bad credit to start rebuilding?
Im currently disputing a lot of derrogatory info on my credit reports from all 3 agencies. I currently have no major credit cards and was informed that if I opened a credit card account and made the payments on time that would up my credit score.
Which credit card gives you the best rewards?
I tend to use one credit card to charge all my expenses each month and then pay it off at the end of the month. There are sooooo many credit cards out there and I was wondering which one gives the best rewards back. What card do you use, and what type of benefit do you get for using it? I don’t care if it is for airline miles, cash back (a percentage) or some sort of point program. I was just wondering who is using what card and why?? Thanks!
How to buy airline ticket online from foreign airline that only accept credit cards but not my visa debit card?
How can I buy a ticket online from an airline when they only accept credit cards & not my Visa Debit card?
The airline, EVA (evaair) has great online only web fares to Asia. Problem is they only process bookings with a credit card in my name. They will absolutely NOT accept any debit cards, even if they are labeled “Visa” from my bank. I find this amazing, since I am essentially offering them cash, but all the customer service people I spoke with say it’s because they process the transactions at their home-base in Taiwan. Obviously there are technology services to get around that, but I guess they are avoiding paying additional fees and save money. If the discount being offered was not significant, I would buy the ticket elsewhere. However, if I buy on their website I can save around $600! Believe me, I’ve shopped around. I also have frequent flier miles with them through a travel agent before and that gets me deeper discounts than normal, plus two nights free hotel…but only if I buy through the web. My friend offered to put the charge on his credit card and I can pay him cash, but the airline rules say the card has to be presented be in the name of and presented by one of the travelers. Well, I don’t see any option other then buying the ticket from another source and losing the discount. Unless someone brilliant here knows how to buy online with credit in my name within 3 (yes, three) days?
BTW: I tried entering the debit card since I figured it wouldn’t be a problem and processed the same way, etc. It is, in fact, immediately rejected because it’s a debit card. The payment processing system they use seems to able to tell through some instant feedback from a global financial system service.
what is the best credit card for a person with no credit to apply for?
I’m thinking about applying for a card, but want to know what the BEST is for a person with no credit.
I’ll be using it mostly for gas, and perhaps a pair of jeans every once in a while.
Plus, I’ll have the money to pay it to $0 every month.
I’ll only be charging about 30% or less of the limit. ($1000 limit=$300 spent monthly)
