Is a Prepaid credit card still considered a major credit card?
I’m fixing to start traveling out of town alot for my job and they are issuing prepaid credit cards with our names on them (so they look just like a credit card) for our spending throughout the trip on rooms, food, etc…. Are these cards still considered major credit cards? Will I be able to book rooms with these?

You should have no problem using them to make a room reservation with a prepaid card. Consider it a “major credit card” when asked for one by the hotel, car rental, etc.
I’m pretty sure ‘major’ refers to Visa, MasterCard, Am Ex, etc., not who issues it- or if it’s pre-paid. You’ll have no trouble.
Be sure to check first if you’re going to rent a car though. Some car rental agencies don’t take pre-paid credit cards. I was in line at Avis a couple weeks ago and had to wait 20 minutes while the lady in front of me argued about it with the counter person. They wouldn’t accept her pre-paid card, stating company policy.
As long as there is enough money on the card to cover any and all transactions including any “holds” there will not be a problem. Remember that some hotels authorize the card for room, tax and a certain percentage over for incidentals.
yes you can use them any where along as there is money in the account you have to deposit money in the account first
only bad thing about pre paid cards is they dont report to credit agencys unless it s a secured card than they report so you can build credit and thats important
