If you use credit card responsibly, is it better for your credit to have one or two?

get credit card

I’m a college student and I’m trying to build my credit. I currently have Visa student credit card at about 12% annual interest, no annual payments, and a limit of $1000. I have been using this credit card responsibly for a year (it seems so easy with online payments!) Does it matter how high my credit limit is on my credit card for building my credit? Should I get a Mastercard or American Express to help build my credit? Or stick to one?

  1. It might help to have another card so that you don’t run up your balance too high on the one you currently have. The general rule is to use no more than 30% of your available credit.

  2. I have build my credit using a credit builder site to which I have applied one of their cards in there. I suggest you can also get it from them.

    good luck!

  3. Hi!

Actually it’s possible to build strong credit using one credit card.
However, if you wish to do it faster you can apply for another card with a bit higher limit and show the same responsibility while paying off.
That’s the key method to build good credit.
    Good luck!
