How long can a hotel hold your deposit from a prepaid credit card?
My hotel was paid with a prepaid credit card but they’re still holding $150. Is there a limit to how long they can keep that deposit?

they can hold it until your appearance/check in of that hotel. for cancellation, you need to notify the hotel a day before the actual checking because if not, that credit card will still be debited even without your appearance/check in. for more info, i guess you have the telephone number of that hotel, so try to ask information about their hotel reservation policy as every hotel has its own guidelines and policy also.
They may have released the authorization hold but your card provider hasn’t registered it yet…
VISA: Up to 30 days for release of an authorization hold (check your cardholder policy and call to double-check)
All others: Usually 3-5 business days
