I have some things for sale and the guy wanting to buy them lives 500 miles away and wants to pay by credit card. Is there any way to receive his payment?

  2. To set up an actual credit card account is difficult. I have a business and I’m still debating whether to do it.

If this guy can’t come up with a money order or cash what makes you sure that he has 500.oo on his credit card.The only way you could do that is thru your bank and even then I would be skeptical ecspecially if this guy won’t do it that way.You are not a vendor nor an ATM machine it can’t be done any other way but thru a bank!

  8. You will need to set an account with paypal. But be very careful on who you deal with if the card is stolen you could be out the cash as well as the merch. Paypal offers no to very Little protection in the case of a charge back. Plus to be eligible for buyer protection the items need to be mailed with delivery confirmation so that you have proof. So if you trust the guy then go ahead but if there is some doubt I would find another way. If he wants it badly enough he could just get a cash advance and pay you with a cashiers check which would be more safe.

    *It’s a little different but I once had a problem with someone who bought an item from me and then said that it was defective but he also refused to return it for a refund. Instead he filed a charge back with his credit card who eventually ruled in my favor because he never returned the merch. So I did get my money back but it took almost 3 months. Paypal was no help at all. Believe me if there is a loop hole they will find it.

  10. i have a small business and use .. it is not like paypal, you can actually charge credit cards directly..
