Does the playstation store require a credit card number for you to use a playstation network card?

i have a playstation network account and i’m planning on buying a psn card. i don’t have a credit card though.

does it work like itunes where you need to enter a valid credit card number first before you can use the gift card or can i just use the psn card immediately without entering a credit card number?

  1. NO, you only need either credit card or PSN card to increase your PSN wallet amount.
I have also done the same and never used a credit card, so i’m sure :-)

  2. No, you don’t require a credit card at all. If you are planning to buy games on the PlayStation USA Store you can buy a PlayStation network prepaid card, redeem the codes and that’s it. you can buy them on any blockbuster or online on ps3cardsonline.com
