Credit Card Application Help?
Hi, Im trying to apply for a DISCOVER or AMERICAN EXPRESS credit card and im a student. On the application it makes you choose your school but I go to a junior college and its not there, I found that both discover and american express dont have junior colleges on their list. Does anyone know why this is? Do they not accept junior colleges valid for their student credit cards?
They do but just put “other” and/or fill out the application with a representative over the phone to explain this to them. I’m sure it’s not a problem.
Just check the college box.
They have marketing strategists and statistical analyzers and forecasters that dictate how they see you as being a potential risk.
That is why they are called risk based lenders.
Choose Discover card………………….Amex are bastards to deal with if one is in a jam.
They accept Junior Colleges……call up their Customer Service.
Get a Staples Card too….
or a gas card.
No more than that……… use the cards ,pay off balances in two- three months and your credit rating will soar.
I ran into the same problem. I could not find a simple solution so after much hesitaion I just left it blank. I attached a not about my Junior college too.
I mailed mine in though.
