airline credit card question: short trips?

Can you benefit from an airline credit card if you dont spend a ton of money?

I was thinking about using one instead of my debit card and going on some short trips (like buffalo to new york or somewhere else within like 500 miles).

How much on average would you have to spend for trips like these? Are small trips even possible or do you have to spend a ton?

  1. The miles accumulate at such a low rate you would be wasting money and time.

  2. I found a nice online list of New York credit card resources. Try calling a nearby company and they most likely answer your questions.
